China's M2 Up 7% YoY in Jan 2025, M1 Climbs 0.4%

    At the end of January 2025, the broad money supply (M2) stood at 318.52 trillion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 7%. The narrow money supply (M1) reached 112.45 trillion yuan, rising 0.4% year-on-year. The currency in circulation (M0) totaled 14.23 trillion yuan, growing 17.2% year-on-year. During the month, net cash issuance amounted to 1.41 trillion yuan.
